Why am I asked to enter a code when shopping online
To keep your online transactions secure, you may be asked to enter a one-time passcode during checkout.
If you have the bYond app installed on the same device you’re using for the purchase, you’ll have the option to authenticate by logging into the app and approving the transaction. This is part of enhanced security measures introduced under PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2).
When required, we’ll send the passcode to you via SMS, and you’ll simply enter it during checkout to confirm your purchase.
