Why am I being asked to enter an SMS code when using my card online?
As part of the recent PSD2 legislation, greater controls are being placed on online transactions. This means that moving forward you may have to authenticate an online transaction by entering an additional passcode. You might have noticed this across any of your other payment cards already. We'll send you an SMS one-time passcode which you'll be asked enter on the Mastercard Securecode screen which will display within the checkout experience.
If you have the bYond app downloaded to the device you are making the transaction on, you will have the option to authenticate by logging into the bYond app and approving the transaction.
