How do I top up my card?
You can top up your card using a debit card using both the website and the mobile app. Credit cards can not be used to top up.
IMPORTANT: This card must be registered to the same address as your bYond card otherwise it may fail. Make sure your address in your bYond account matches the address that you have registered with your bank.
Once you’ve topped up once, you can save your card details to use again in future for a faster top up. If you need to change it, you just add a different card. This will replace the existing card saved, as we can only save one card that you have used.
To top up your card using a debit card via the website

Select the top up option under the card image, or select Account in the top menu and then select My Card. In the mobile app, simply select the 'Top up' option on the home page.

Enter the amount you want to top up. The maximum and minimum values will be displayed. You can also at this point choose to save your card to enable you to do a quick top up the next time.

When you select continue, we will then transfer you to Trust Payments, our payment services provider who will securely process your payment. You will be select your card type, and then enter your card details. Make sure the details you enter are correct to ensure your top up goes through successfully.

Your top up will also go through a 3D Secure check. This may mean that your bank decides to authenticate you to make sure it is definitely you performing the top up. As part of this, you may be asked to enter a one-time passcode or to authenticate yourself by another means, depending on what options your bank has made available to you. If the bank can not match your details, they may decline the transaction. If your bank declines the 3DS transaction, your bYond card top-up will fail. We recommend trying again

Once your top up is complete, we will inform you of your new balance. We also send a top up complete email so you have a record of your top up. If you opted to save your card for future use, you will now be able to top up just by entering the CVV (the three digits on the back of your card).
